Itinerary
Our team will pick you up from the airport in Igdir, Agri or Van. Then we will drive to Dogubayazit (the town from where all tours on Mount Ararat start). On the way we can stop near interesting places to take pictures. Check-in at a hotel in Dogubayazit.
At the evening you will have meeting and dinner with your mountain guide who will give you also some information about your climbing on Mount Ararat.

After breakfast we will drive to small village on the foot of Mount Ararat – Cevirme village (2200 m). You will take your small daily backpack, water and lunch packets and start ascent to Camp 1. Rest of equipment will be carried on horses. Trekking to Ararat Camp 1 (3300 m) takes around 4-5 hours. There we will pitch our tents, have lunch and rest time.
At the evening hot dinner will wait for us.

Extra day for acclimatization, which will help us to get used to high altitude. We will eat breakfast at the campsite, take lunch packets and water for drinking and ascent to Camp 2 located at an altitude 4200 m. After reaching Camp 2 we will have short break and then descent the Camp 1, where lunch will wait for us. Then we have free time.
At the evening cook will serve hot dinner.

We will eat breakfast and pack our luggage, which horses will carry to higher campsite. Then we will take our lunch packets and small backpacks and walk to Camp 2 (4200 m). After reaching campsite we will eat some snacks, drink tea or coffee and then pitch our tents. Rest of day we can rest.
At the evening cook will serve dinner.

Your guide will wake you up long before dawn (usually about 1-2 a.m.). You will eat breakfast, drink something hot and last time check your equipment before trek to the summit of Mount Ararat. Then you will start ascent to the top (your guide will keep slow tempo). After 5-7 hours you should reach summit of Ararat. You will have there short break for a group photo and celebrating success. Then you will descent to Camp 2. After hot meal and 1-2 hours rest you will pack luggage and start to walk down to Camp 1 for dinner and overnight.
Overnight in tents at the Camp 1.

After breakfast at the campsite we will prepare our luggage, which horses will take down, and start descent to Cevirme village. From the village we will drive to our hotel in Dogubayazit.
After shower and lunch in city centre we will start our half day city tour. We will visit Ishak Pasha Palace, Ahmed-i Hani tomb, Urartian Castle and Meteor Crater located just next to the border with Iran.
At the evening we will have Celebration dinner in a restaurant.

We will head to the ancient Underground City occupied by many different civilizations throughout its 4000 year history. We will learn about how and why the city was built here and how they managed to live underground.

We will visit Selime rock-art Monastery, which is the biggest rock-cut structure in all of Cappadocia. The monastery was the center of religious, social and commercial life.

We will take will take a pleasant 3 km hike through Ihlara Valley, a natural green canyon as deep as 100 meters at some points. There you will see cave churches with some unusual frescoes and enjoy lunch by the river.

Our last stop has a beautiful view of Uçhisar Castle across the gardens of Guvercinlik Vadisi (Pigeon Valley). This is great location for scenic photoş and an easy hike down to Göreme if you would like to finish your day with a walk.
